01Gabon
The goldfields
Gold is found in the Ndjolé and Eteke districts in the centre of the country and in the north-east around Makokou and Minkébé. Production is mostly artisanal and small-scale, organised through licensed operators. We work with those operators to consolidate doré for assay in Libreville and export under Gabonese permits.
02Gabon
Exploration
The forest that makes Gabon hard also leaves it under-explored. Where the geology justifies it we take positions in exploration permits along the northern and central belts with Gabonese permit holders. Programmes are planned around the seasons and use river and helicopter access to keep the footprint small.
